Is there any reason why a collaboration between Stan Smith and Stan Smith hasn’t happened prior to now?
Nevermind that since it’s on the way now and the pairing is a match made in heaven. Come mid-October, American Dad! makes a permanent move to TBS with all original episodes. Normally, moving from Fox to TBS would suck, but to commemorate the move, adidas is releasing the Stan Smith x Stan Smith, naturally.
The collaboration is about as simple as it gets. Stan Smith of American Dad fame and his butt-chin grace the tongue and the insoles feature him posing in the Stan-est of fashions. Some might criticize the lack of creativity, but I’d rather have this than an all-over prints, fluorescent colors or any other loud concoction.
Then again, I think we’d all rather have not so steep of a price hike though since they’re retailing at $140. MacFarlane probably needs his bread from this partnership, but charging nearly twice the normal going rate for Stans is a stiff ticket. My mans might need a pass if he set the price on these though. He’s suffered enough with naysayers with The Cleveland Show so I’ll let him live.
